The art of rug hooking began for me in 1990. I began teaching in 2006. Prior to that I entertained other art forms like sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, punch needle however none of them have I enjoyed as much as traditional rug hooking. If I had to choose a favorite style it would be the use of multiple fibers in an uneven pile. It makes for very happy feet. The blending of many fibers is like painting with wool. I maintain my McGown Certification (2010) in order to stay up to date on all the new techniques and styles. This allows me to better serve my students in creating art that they can appreciate. I welcome any pattern, style, or cut of wool in my classes. Choose from an open class or hook one of my patterns as a class. My goal is to help artists celebrate themselves and what they create. I have had the honor of teaching in my home, organizing workshops, hook ins, and retreats. I Co Chaired the very successful 2017 ATHA Biennial in Cleveland, OH. My husband of 35 yrs and I reside in Ashland,OH. We have two grown children and two adorable grandsons. I welcome teaching at your guild or next workshop.
